Investment incentives by the Goverment of Rwanda
The standard corporate income tax is 30% but there certain exemptions below:

  • International companies with their head office or regional office in Rwanda enjoy 0% tax
  • Holding companies, collective investment schemes or investment SPVs enjoy 3% tax
  • Rwandan trading companies operation internationally will enjoy 3% on foreign sourced trading income
  • Rwanda based IP companies get taxed 3% on foreign sourced royalties
  • Rwandan companies in energy, transport, ICT, tourism, affordable housing and financial services enjoy 15% tax
  • Rwandan companies that exporting goods and services enjoy 15-25%
  • Companies in manufacturing, energy, ICT, health services and export related investment projects, enjoy 7 years of 0% tax
  • Companies-investors that are already in 3% & 15% preferential tax regime enjoy also 0% on interest, dividends and royalties.
