Greek Ministry of Finance announced a new favourable Non-Dom tax regime (Law 4646/2019) aimed at foreign individuals who want to transfer their tax residency to Greece. This was introduced for the first time in Greece by Law 4646/2019, with the new regime valid from 2020 onwards. The candidate is eligible to pay 100,000 Euro flat tax for any source of foreign income. He is also not obliged to declare in Greece any foreign sources of income. This can be extended to family members for an extra payment of 20,000 Euro.The applicant is required to invest in Greece a minimum amount of 500,000 €. The investment may take various forms, such as investment in real estate or business, either as an individual or as a legal entity, established in Greece. The investment needs to be completed within 3 years, starting from the application date.
